(Like Harvilla sez: “You have to remember: The Hold Steady were wizened, wistful veterans when they started.”) Then, after inquiring if they rip off Mother Teresa often or just once in a while, whether Glenn Beck is in fact the band’s rock prophet, and having Finn talk about his dissolute version of Catholicism, Colbert relents: “Would you rock us out and hip us to your spiritual vision?” Last night, that vision looked a lot like “Hurricane J”:
