Lyle Lovett+Aeoife O’Donovan

Tower-haired Texas troubadour Lyle Lovett toned down the pop and stirred up the Western Swing for this year’s Release Me, a tasteful trip down Influence Lane. He downsizes his Rather Large Band here with a stripped-down combo that includes bluegrass guitarist Keith Sewell, fiddler Luke Bulla, and journeyman drummer Russ Kunkel. Conservatory-trained singer-songwriter Aoife O’Donovan got her start in the Wayfaring Strangers, led Crooked Still for a decade, and has been a go-to bluegrass voice for the likes of the Boston Pops and Utah Symphony.
