Me And My Photo, My Photo And Me

by

A dinner at Co-op restaurant (at Hotel on Rivington) to introduce Chef James London, was a perfect chance for me to reconnect with my image on the wall–an EJ Camp-photographed portrait placed up on the top row of the grid of downtown-icon photos.

In TV terms, that makes me Carol Brady!

(Or if you prefer to go with Hollywood Squares iconography, I’m a rotating celebrity.)

And in posing for this photo in front of the photo–God, there’s a lot of self-documentation going on in this one little item–I tried to replicate my mildly disturbed facial expression in person.

And it sort of worked, since that’s my regular expression anyway.

And even if it doesn’t, I’m thrilled the place hasn’t redecorated!
