We say goodbye to July today, and we can’t think of a better reason to skip out of the office a little early and head out for a cheap drink. Here are a few places that will be offering up deals on food and drinks, easing your transition into August.
Mira Sushi & Izakaya, 46 West 22nd Street
From 4 to 7 p.m., a new happy hour special available at the bar of this restaurant nets you $4 draft beers and $6 glasses of wine plus chef Brian Tsao’s small plate creations. Guests can choose from a two-for-$8 menu, which includes items like edamame, or splurge on a two-for-$12 combination and sample tako yaki fried octopus balls or a Tokyo fry mackerel basket. For the rest of the summer, you’ll also find $9 hibiscus rum punch cocktails.
Three of Cups, 83 First Avenue
With two happy hours on two floors in one place, this Italian restaurant and lounge is the perfect place to work on balancing your drink as you climb up the stairs. From 5 to 8 p.m. in the restaurant’s bar, guests will find $4 beers, house wines, and well drinks. When the specials run out there, head down to the lounge, where the same offer is available from 8 to 9 p.m. alongside a deal that gets you $2 off any call drink.
Greenwich Treehouse, 46 Greenwich Avenue
This Village stalwart, which often features comedic and musical performances, offers $2-off drafts, $1-off bottles, and $4 well drinks Friday through Wednesday from 5 until 8 p.m. The spot is also BYO food-friendly and maintains a book of to-go menus from nearby spots.
