New Drag Show In Times Square!

by

Tina, Cher, Michael, Janet, Beyoncé, Madonna, Gaga, Katy, and then some.

They’re all onstage at the Times Square Snapple Center (1627 Broadway, at 50th Street), every Friday and Saturday at 11 p.m.

And they’re men! Even Michael!

Icons is the D’Angora Entertainment-produced drag show that was a hit in Provincetown and has now sashayed to the heart of NYC’s tourist center for some high-octane fun.

The show winkily celebrates pop’s top divas, with wicked lip-synchs and frenzied choreography, plus the obligatory four shirtless dancing boys.

The casino-style revue makes no major statements. It simply aims to entertain, and that it does — especially when we get musical smackdowns courtesy of Michael and Janet, Gaga and Beyoncé, and Britney and Nicki Minaj, all thrusting their pelvises and vying for center stage.

At one point in the performance I saw, the audio volume blew out, but the giddy audience just sang the Spice Girls song themselves to allow the show to go on.

By the finale, I realized that all the impersonations had been done by only two quick-changing drag queens — the amazing Ricardo Torres and Dennis Wilson.

Give them a respirator!

Also give them an announcement! They need to be introduced by name at the end so they can reap their deserved applause!

My only other caveats: The Jacko and Whitney bits go on a bit too long and the queens’ hair falls over their faces a few too many times, shielding us from their expressions.

But everything else is as perky as the bosoms of Tina, Cher, Michael, Janet, Beyoncé …

Lift up your Snapple shot and enjoy.
