Everclear’s frontman Art Alexakis didn’t allow a broken foot to prevent him from hosting and rocking out during this year’s ‘Summerland 2015’ tour. ’90s music fans sang along to alt rock hits — and new songs — from American Hi-Fi, Fuel, Toadies and (of course) Everclear at Irving Plaza on Tuesday night. “I’m tired of bands who don’t play instruments,” Alexakis told the crowd. “Aren’t you tired of bands who don’t play instruments?!” Yes. Yes, we are. Everclear’s ninth studio album, Black Is the New Black, was released two months ago.
