Our Best Posts of the Week!

We wrote a haiku comic about a $1 doughnut, because that’s how we roll, and tasted a goat pepper soup so hot that Robert put it in the running to be our city’s spiciest dish.

Meanwhile, Eric got drunk in the Catskills, Lauren swirled some organic and biodynamic wines, and I found the kind of hot chocolate you can drink every day (along with some seriously good cookies).

Mallory rounded up her five favorite food markets, indoors and out, while Robert tasted an enhanced BLT on the Highline.

Clarissa reported on a Portland brewmaster, making beer with the yeast from his own beard and praised the shandong beef rolls at L.A. import Liang’s Kitchen. Michelin released its list of Bib Gourmands in New York.

If you missed our reviews, I stopped by 606 R&D in Prospect Heights this week, while Robert checked out Balkanika in Hell’s Kitchen.

Happy weekending!
