Copenhagen’s Trentemøller first rose to club acclaim for skirting the borders of electro house and minimal techno, melding both into far-reaching and deeply felt extended beats. This deft pairing is what made his second album, 2010’s Into the Great Wide Yonder, so shocking: full psychedelic fare, with guitar fuzz replacing curt synth blips, transgressive and not a little aggressive, at that.
