Readers: Scrap Del Posto, Add Monte’s Trattoria to the Best Italian Restaurants in NYC

Earlier this week, Zachary Feldman penned a list of the 10 best Italian restaurants in NYC, covering everything from old school red sauce joints to fine dining temples to new eateries bent on modernizing a classic cuisine. But a couple of readers took issue with his choices–or suggested he may have missed something.

I think maybe Monte’s Trattoria should be on this list. I just ate there the other day with my mother. It’s been around forever, the service is impeccable and the chef is one of the nicest people you’ll meet.
