The East Village is temporarily down a ramen-and-sushi joint, reports EV Grieve.
Sapporo East is closed for “emergency construction,” says a sign on the side of the building, with another sign indicating a “Stop Work Order” from the city’s Department of Buildings. Apparently Sapporo had tried to do some plumbing work without a permit. Phone calls to the establishment this morning were not picked up, but drop Fork in the Road a line if you see Sapporo East come back to life.
