Sifter+Bizingas

Cornetist Kirk Knuffke curates an entire month of improv action at the cozy Gowanus hang, and tonight is a chance to hear his graceful tumult surrounded by an array of impressive cohorts. Drummer Matt Wilson and guitarist Mary Halvorson form a strong team in Sifter. Each member has an enviable agility. Bizingas is led by trombone maestro Brian Drye, and its tunes are shaped in a way that avoids repetition.
