OnlyFans star Sophie Rain has fired back at adult content creator Annie Knight, who accused her of misleading fans about how she makes her money.
20-year-old Rain dismissed Knight’s claims as “irrelevant” and “delusional,” even providing screenshots of her reported earnings. “She commodified her own humiliation and now wants to rewrite the rules for everyone else. My earnings are real, and my clothes stayed on,” Rain said.
The back-and-forth followed Rain’s appearance on the Bangin Out podcast, where she said people often mistake her content for pornography. “Everyone just assumes we do porn,” Rain said. “But we’re not doing what Bonnie Blue is doing. We’re not selling sex. We’re building something different, with morals.”
Rain insisted she’s never posted explicit content, claiming she’s still a virgin. The most risqué thing on her page, she said, is “a really scandalous bikini top.” Even so, she claimed her OnlyFans account has raked in $82 million, with monthly payouts exceeding $4.7 million.
Knight, who made headlines for sleeping with 583 men in a single day, challenged Rain’s story. “There are strip teases and full nudes on her page,” Knight said. “She’s also lying about her money. You can’t make that much without going explicit.”
Rain swiftly shut down the accusations, sending her interviewer both a screenshot and a video of her verified earnings.
Rain has also defended her faith against critics. “People love to weaponize religion when it’s convenient for them. But last I checked, judgment wasn’t in God’s job description for us,” she said. “I talk to God every day, and I truly believe He’s proud of how far I’ve come, especially knowing why I do this. It’s not just about money; it’s about taking care of my family.”
Knight also remains a top earner on OnlyFans. She’s been transparent about her explicit content, the highs and lows of being an adult creator, her relationship with fiance Henry Brayshaw, and her earnings.
Clearly, there’s room for both types of creators to succeed on OnlyFans and on social media. It’s obvious that both of their strategies have paid off. The difference seems to be that Rain’s audience on social media consists of both men who want to be with her and women who want to be her, whereas Knight does not specifically appeal to young women in her public-facing content. Knight also challenges the prevailing public sentiment that porn and sex work are immoral, centering pleasure, education, and consent.
