Steve Lehman Trio w/ Vijay Iyer

The venerated Vijay is the centerpiece guest pianist in this three-night run starring the meta-bopping alto saxophonist. Expect Lehman to lead the quartet—which also includes Matt Brewer (bass) and Damion Reed (drums)—through whip-smart originals, the occasional McLean or Coltrane cover, and oddball delights such as the wonderfully wonky Willy Wonka ballad “Pure Imagination.”
