Haven’t had enough of Bonnie Blue yet? Then you’re in luck, because the UK’s Channel 4 is planning a documentary on the infamous sex worker and OnlyFans star. With a working title of The Bonnie Blue Story, the film will explore the “meteoric and polarising rise of one of the world’s most notorious OnlyFans creators.”
The film is being produced by Magnificent Pictures and directed by Victoria Silver plans to go beyond all those viral headlines that’s made Blue such a star and explore what her life is really like, including her constantly traveling and controversial sex stunts.
Blue has been on the platform for only a couple of years but has become one of the biggest OnlyFans stars because of her willingness to do whatever it takes to get in the headlines — including sleeping with over 1,000 men in a 12 hour period. It was that stunt that really turned her into a household name (or at least, as close as an OnlyFans star could get). That stunt led to millions of reactions across social media, as well tabloid coverage. And apparently it was all on film, as this documentary crew seems to have been filming behind the scenes.
The crew claims to have caught the important parts of Blue’s life, enough to help anyone see how the 25-year-old lives and balances the mind boggling sex stunts, demands of an entrepreneurial role, and living life as a normal person, albeit one with international notoriety.
The Bonnie Blue Story is being edited by Kate Spankie, executive produced by Mark Henderson, commissioned by Time Hancock for Channel 4.
The director, Victoria Silver, recently had this to say about the film: “Bonnie Blue refuses to conform to public opinion and lives life by her own rules. At a time when factual TV is awash with retrospective stories, I wanted to capture the energy of a live and evolving story, with a woman at the heart of it who’s living her life in such a bold way.”
Bold is one way to describe Blue, who is more than willing to put it all out there for everyone to see, including her plans to sleep with “barely-legal” (her words) university students around the globe. And the documentary plans to explore that decision and help people decide for themselves if she is a predator as some have claimed, or if she’s just a woman trying to live a sex-positive life as a sex worker building a million-dollar business using a marketing engine that runs on other people’s rage.
Mark Henderson, the executive producer, said: “Bonnie Blue is a story for our times, touching on our attitudes to sex, money, success, porn, feminism and masculinity. Vic’s insightful film will make you question what you think about this fascinating and divisive character.”
Channel 4’s Tim Hancock chimed in: “With incredible access to an unfolding story at the edges of modern morality, this documentary will take a clear-eyed look at a very contemporary phenomenon and will likely leave the audience questioning their own presumptions about one of this year’s most polarising figures.”
While the film is in production, they have not announced when it will be released.
