After OnlyFans mega-star Sophie Rain announced her departure from The Bop House (the Florida-based creator compound that is home to eight young OnlyFans creators), the other women quickly worked to fill her place.
Well, not so quickly.
While you’d think they would just tap a friend to move in, these women proved their marketing prowess and announced a competition to fill the spot.
After all, it was quite the spot to fill. Sophie Rain has made close to $100 million on the subscription based platform, and The Bop House helped contribute to that — though one could argue that her star status absolutely contributed to the success of the creator compound.
The Bop House is less than a year old and started as an experiment where the eight women would live together and create content for each other’s platforms. And since working together was such a key part of their success, they wanted to ensure that the person who replaced Rain was the right fit. The women held auditions in Los Angeles earlier this month in something they referred to as a “Bad Girls Club”-style reality show.
And it seems that 25-year-old Lexi Marvel came out on top of the more than 12,000 women that applied for the role, as The Bop House members officially introduced her as their newest member. Marvel hails from Puerto Rico originally and already has a following of over 2.4 million on Instagram.
There were mixed reactions from Bop House fans after the announcement, with some fans excited about the possibility of Marvel’s addition and others, well, less so.
“Sophie Rain from Ali Express,” one TikTok user wrote, pairing the statement with the crying emoji. Another TikToker had a similar thought, writing, “Temu Sophie Rain.”
Rain left quite the hole in the group. When she announced her departure, she explained: “Building The Bop House has been one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences of my career. But over time, I started to feel like I was no longer in control of my own brand and vision. For me, that’s a non-negotiable.”
While Rain declined to speak about any details around the tension between her and the other women, she did admit: “I have so much love for the girls and what we accomplished together, but it’s no secret that Camilla and I haven’t been seeing eye to eye.”
Rain is busy working on her own projects and making headlines for her $1 million to Mr. Beast’s clean water charity.
And only time will tell how Marvel fits into the Bop House, but there are millions of people anxiously waiting to see.
