The annual Egg Rolls and Egg Creams Festival, which was held on Sunday, June 7, celebrates both the Chinese and Jewish ethnic heritage of the Lower East Side and Chinatown. This year the festival also embraced the area’s Puerto Rican community by including empanadas. Crafts from all three traditions were being demonstrated as visitors gobbled up the festival’s namesake treats.
