Now in its fifth year, Governor’s Ball ushers in the start of music festival season for many New Yorkers. Always an adventure, Gov Ball provides an excellent opportunity to catch a thoughtfully curated assemblage of bands, ranging from local legends (De La Soul, the Strokes) to hot up-and-comers. Oh, and the people watching — it’s without equal.
The rain started during Haim’s set on Saturday and continued on through day three, effectively canceling operations for the festival on Sunday. Click on for photos of the Strokes, Father John Misty, Beck, Purity Ring, M83…and music fans trying — quite creatively, might we add! — to stay dry.
