Over 20 of the city’s best female bartenders will compete against the clock to help raise money for breast cancer charities. Contestants including representatives from Pouring Ribbons and Dead Rabbit will compete for the affection of judges as they tackle select drinks from a list of nearly 50 classic cocktail recipes. DIY Gingerbread House, Butter & Scotch, 818 Franklin Avenue, Brooklyn, Monday, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Play the role of Christmas contractor at this gingerbread house workshop, which will offer hot toddies, cocktails, and desserts for purchase during break time. Brooklyn designers Emil and Sandy Corsillo of Williamsburg-based menswear label The Hill-Side are inviting fashionable foodies out for an evening of food, cocktails, and a conversation about craftsmanship. Guests can grab bites from Extra Fancy and signature rum cocktails from The Happiest Hour’s Brian Miller while learning the brothers’ story about launching their clothing line. Danny Bowien and Kellogg’s are teaming up to tackle breakfast. Bowien is offering his twist on classic breakfast cereal, with options like frosted mini wheats cashew jam and frosted flakes with matcha. The special menu will be available throughout the weekend.
