Zombie Apocalypse: PETA Exploits Texas Dog-Eater To Push Vegan Agenda

by

As the rest of us try to cope with the impending Zombie Apocalypse, the animal rights group PETA is using the latest case of potential zombie-ism to push its Vegan agenda.

As we reported earlier this week, a Texas man was arrested near Waco on Monday after police say he ate the family dog — after crawling around on all fours and growling at his neighbors — while under the influence of synthetic marijuana.

In response, PETA is in the process of launching a campaign to encourage people to not eat pigs and “go vegan” — because, according to the group, “pigs can play video games about as well as college students.” They also can (again, according to PETA, not us) “turn on lights and heat in a barn, and perform many other sophisticated activities.”

(Sigh).

“It’s heartbreaking to think of what this defenseless dog went through–the pain and fear are almost unimaginable,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “Unfortunately, there are some acts of cruelty that we can do nothing about,
but there are others that we can prevent–and PETA hopes that this tragic incident will inspire Waco residents to think about the animals
we can spare from violence simply by going vegan.”

According to the group, it currently is in talks with outdoor advertisers near Waco to install a billboard with the
following message: “If You Wouldn’t Eat Your Dog, Why Eat a Pig? Go Vegan.”

Why eat a pig? Because pigs are delicious, that’s why.

Regardless of how appetizing swine can be, PETA’s point is this: “just like dogs, pigs and other animals raised for food feel pain and fear and suffer immensely when they are kept in intensive confinement on factory farms and have their throats slit in slaughterhouses.”

If you missed the story of alleged dog-eater Michael Daniel, 22, here’s the gist: On June 14, Daniel allegedly assaulted a few of his friends and neighbors after smoking synthetic weed and while crawling around on all fours — as he growled and barked like a dog.

Then the munchies set in…

Daniel then grabbed the family’s dog, beat it, choked it, and then bit off chunks of the dog’s flesh.

When police found him, he was on the front porch of the home with blood smeared on his face and shirt. He was taken to a local hospital to calm down.

Sadly, the dog didn’t make it — the animal died at the home following the attack.

Daniel was released from the hospital and taken into police custody on Monday. He’s been hit with one felony count of animal cruelty.

Now, PETA is exploiting the gruesome case to try and keep people from eating pork. We’re no experts, but that seems like a hard sell in a place like Texas.
