http://www.amctheatres.com/movie-theatres/amc-loews-34th-street-14 AMC Lowers 34th Street 14 is a big and shiny, blockbuster megaplex located next to Penn Station in Hell's Kitchen, and shows mainstream, first-run features. The oversized, glowing, digital marquee doesn't lie--this AMC Loews is more spacious than most NYC movie theaters. It offers 3D along with one IMAX screen. Said services come at a price in Midtown Manhattan, so this premier cinema has one of the pricier tickets in the city, but it's a nice, clean theater with all of the modern Cineplex amenities. The spaciousness might make you forget you're in NYC--that is, until you spring for the pricey popcorn. More >>

http://www.amctheatres.com/movie-theatres/amc-magic-johnson-harlem-9 This spacious Harlem cinema is the place to be when a national blockbuster opens, because the joint tends to not fill up and you can always find a seat. http://www.angelikafilmcenter.com Open since 1989, this iconic Soho art cinema spawned a number of satellite movie theaters in Texas and elsewhere in New York City. Blocks from both the 1 train at Houston and the B, D, F, M, and 6 trains at Broadway-Lafayette, the Angelika has old-Hollywood glamor without the pretension, and offers a great way to spend an afternoon. And it's not a bad date spot, either. More >>
