It’s been almost two months since the first NYC Restaurant Week 2011, which means that it’s time for the city’s marketing and tourism board to start planning yet another NYC Restaurant Week 2011. This one will take place July 11-24. Which is technically almost two weeks.
In February, an NYC & Company rep explained that the last Restaurant Week had been extended due to “genuine demand” from both restaurants and the public, and that it provided a “boost during the typically slow travel period of January and February.” July, however, is anything but a slow travel period for New York, though tourists will likely move at a crawl as they attempt to locate their $24.07 lunches and $35 dinners.
