Swedes have been eating crayfish since the 16th century. But you don’t have to be Swedish to celebrate Aquavit‘s annual Crayfish Festival, which kicks off today. Just show up at the restaurant and order a half pound of peel-and-eat crustaceans and smörgåsbord for $28 at lunch or $38 at dinner, and be Swedish for a few delightful hours.
Wine and Food Truck Pairing

Now that some food trucks are serving booze, you might want a primer on pairing wine with fare from your favorite mobile vendors. This Thursday-evening series kicked off with Italian wine and vodka to go with crepes from the Crepes Truck. This week, look for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and Chilean Carmenère paired with Mexicue.
