Dear Tanya T: Dine In Brooklyn will run through this Thursday, March 29, so you still have a few days to participate. Though the majority of the 195 establishments are clustered in places like Park Slope and Williamsburg, here are a few more far-flung places you might check out. Call ahead, though; sometimes restaurants limit the hours during which the special deal is served (three-course dinner, $25; lunch, $20.12).
Gold Coast is a Jewish-style deli in Bay Ridge that has great cured and smoked meats, invented cocktails, and a pleasant lounge-y atmosphere very close to the R train. 8520 Third Avenue, 718-238-8020
Clemente’s Maryland Crab House, miraculously, is a real Chesapeake Bay-style crustacean palace, complete with wooden mallets and bibs. 3939 Emmons Avenue, 718-646-7373
Colandrea New Corner Restaurant is an obscurely located Italian-American restaurant where they won’t sneer at you if you feel like eating spaghetti and meatballs, which, come to think of it, has turned into a thoroughly modern dish with the resuscitation of the meatball. 7201 Eighth Avenue, 718-833-0800
James is a laid-back Prospect Heights bistro with a great pork chop and butternut squash risotto, and a view of the historic neighborhood through its corner picture windows. 605 Carlton Avenue, 718-942-4255
