Here are the Ridiculous Requests New Yorkers Put in Their Seamless ‘Special Instructions’

New Yorkers are special snowflakes; we like to customize. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the “special instructions” box on the Seamless order form has seen its share of strange requests. Seamless, which is GrubHub’s New York City–specific brand, has released a list of the funniest and weirdest such requests, and it’s pretty fantastic.

On April Fools’ Day, several people ordered sandwiches overflowing with tuna to send to their friends, a clear reference to a segment on Kroll Show that featured Nick Kroll and John Mulaney as Gil Faizon and George St. Geegland — their aging, Upper West Side divorced alter egos — pranking someone by ordering them a sandwich with heaps of tuna fish.

It’s called “Too Much Tuna.” It’s funny and weird, and so are the habits of too-lazy-to-cook New Yorkers. We’ve re-created some of the choicest requests for your clicking pleasure.
