What legal rights should animals have? I’m not sure that they should have any. I suppose every living creature should have the opportunity to live, I guess, if anything, free from cruelty.

Should roaches, rats, and pigeons have these same rights? I guess I’m going to be a species chauvinist. I think human rights should come first in this case. Especially if these animals are spreading disease.

Do you eat meat? Yes. Like I said, I’m a species chauvinist. Humans first.

What legal rights should animals have? I don’t equate animals with human beings. But they shouldn’t be taken advantage of, just for us. We shouldn’t harm them or subject them to medical studies.

Should roaches, rats, and pigeons have these same rights? Yes. They can be a source of education for children.

Do you eat meat? I stopped eating red meat recently. I think it’s really bad the way animals are killed for flesh. I eat chicken and fish, but maybe that’s more of a cultural thing. In black culture, chicken can be a delicacy. But eventually, I’ll get off meat. It’s like quitting smoking, you can’t do it all at once.

What legal rights should animals have? Animals should have the same rights that children have. If someone takes on an animal, they should see that through. I don’t have any animals. My lifestyle isn’t such that I can take on that responsibility.

Should roaches, rats, and pigeons have these same rights? I sometimes have fantasies of coming up with ways of obliterating pigeons from the earth. Rats, I used to have a pet rat, so I’m a little sympathetic.

Do you eat meat? Yes. It fits into my sense of animal rights uncomfortably. Like with pigeons, I really don’t like birds, so I don’t feel too bad about eating chicken and turkey. Otherwise, I have some qualms about eating meat.

What legal rights should animals have? I don’t think they should be put in the trunk of a car. They should be able to jump around, be treated as well as humans.

Should roaches, rats, and pigeons have these same rights? Not a roach. Rats are a nuisance. There’s no choice but to put the poison out. Pigeons are okay.

Do you eat meat? Yes, I do. I did go six years vegetarian for health reasons. But I got anemic from iron deficiency.

Do you eat meat? No way. I’ve been vegetarian for two years. Meat is dirty— they use too many drugs in it. It’s not hard at all to not eat meat. You feel better. Stronger.
