Tyler Baltierra closed his OnlyFans account recently, and fans are wondering why. After all, it wasn’t long ago that the Teen Mom star was actively promoting his account with risque photos and videos on his social media accounts. There was even a video featuring him in a red thong that his wife ,Catelynn Lowell, shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Lowell seemed to be the one in charge, even telling reporters that the OnlyFans account was her idea to begin with: “I would constantly bring it up, like, ‘Dude, you should just start an OnlyFans. People are ooh-ing and ah-ing all the time, we should charge them for this…and one day I just pulled the trigger and signed him up.”
While it seemed like Baltierra was happy to go along with it at the time, even becoming a top content creator on the platform and making tens of thousands of dollars, he’s since changed his mind. He revealed his decision to close his account on Instagram recently after a follower asked if he was still active.
He also revealed the reason. He believed that the account could be impacting his relationship with his biological daughter Carly and her adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis. The adoption was supposed to be open, and was a major plot point of the storyline that featured Lowell and Baltierra on the MTV show, Teen Mom. But in the years since, the adoptive parents have pulled back and ultimately cut off contact.
Many believed that Lowell and Baltierra’s social media accounts and yes, OnlyFans account, were part of the reason. But the couple didn’t seem to think so, despite people in the comment section of their Instagram accounts bringing it up.
There was a discussion between an Instagram user and Baltierra where the user asked: “What are you going to do in 10 years when the MTV money is gone and no one gives a damn about your [OnlyFans]? Oh, and how do you expect Brandon and Teresa to respond to this? They don’t want to be associated with this nonsense!”
Baltierra was quick to respond. “IDK, I’ll prolly just move back into a trailer park where I belong. And as far as B&T go, I couldn’t please them or get their approval if I was damn Mother Teresa herself lol. Besides, I refuse to live my life trying to live up to anyone’s expectations besides my own!”
Yet just a few months later, Baltierra has changed his tune. He now seems to think that the OnlyFans account is exactly why the adoption was closed. He posted on Instagram: “The moment contact was cut [between us and Carly] we shut [my OnlyFans] down immediately. Just in case that could’ve possibly been an issue.”
While that may not have been the actual reason, since the timing of his time on the platform doesn’t add up, it does seem that he’s gone for good. Or at least, for now.
