Envisioned by a team of entertainment experts, The Kage’s first event promises a night that excites from beginning to end.
Under Capitale’s striking 65-foot ceilings, The Kage will unveil its inaugural event, confirmed for November 28, 2026. In the heart of New York City, a night of real mixed martial arts (MMA) competition, music, and unexpected entertainment awaits. The organizers envision something with the intrigue of an old mafia movie: conversations over drinks interrupted by action in the cage, and the sense that the evening still has a few secrets to reveal. Although unconventional, the team behind The Kage is confident this experience will have its own unique atmosphere.
Finding the Inspiration for the Event
The Kage Presents is the vision of co-founders Kazi Sorrentino and Gabriel Blinder, partnered with Sam Kiki, CEO of Tilt Rips. Tilt Rips is now The Kage’s founding partner and main gaming sponsor. At MMA events, Sorrentino was excited by the fights, but a quick finish could leave people waiting. Where others felt the energy draining from the room, he found inspiration.
“Gabe and I had known each other for ten years,” Sorrentino said. “He knew combat sports, and I knew nightlife and entertainment. We came up with The Kage to put those strengths together and build a night that keeps people engaged from beginning to end… When I explained our concept, [Sam] wanted to partner.”
What a Night at The Kage Promises
The Kage’s November 28 event is the culmination of that collaboration, and its plans are equally ambitious. Doors are set to open at 8:00 pm, leading into four hours of about five sanctioned amateur MMA fights, plus influencer and novelty bouts. Between each fight, The Kage will feature music and live acts. Past midnight, the venue will adopt a nightclub feel, with a DJ performing from the center of the cage. According to organizers, the event will also be streamed on Amazon Prime and DAZN.
What The Kage promises is a night of live entertainment, with action shifting from one medium to another instead of falling away entirely. Balancing MMA, music, and performances helps the show feel cohesive and tasteful. The Kage wants to present genuine competition and a strong fight card, with enough music and entertainment to keep the room energized. Each part of the night has its moment. Between bouts, guests can settle back into conversation, drink in hand, while waiting to discover what takes the floor next.
“It is a format built to surprise people,” Sorrentino explained, “while keeping the competition real. We want guests to leave wondering what they just saw and eager to see what we do next.”
Aside from MMA combat and DJ performances, the team behind The Kage’s inaugural event is deliberately preserving the mystery around additional acts and surprises. What happens during a night at The Kage might not be something a guest can anticipate. The fight card provides a structure, but it does not give away the whole plot.
A Truly Ambitious Experience
Looking ahead, the team behind The Kage aims to bring its unique format to cities worldwide. With each event, the goal is to present a consistent, recognizable experience that includes strong fights, exciting music, and unexpected action; ultimately, something people want to return to. The Kage’s New York event is an opportunity to establish what the night feels like and to build bigger.
