For this downtown nexus’s 40th anniversary, the curators stage a shameless exercise in avant-garde excess and truly test how many cooks can fit in the Kitchen. Spoiling the broth are sonic master chef Z’EV, who finds the stainless steel pièce de résistance of post-industrial decline in a PVC pipe or a discarded hubcap, No Wave epicureans the Bush Tetras, Peter Gordon and the slow-cooking electro-synth smorgasbord Love of Life Orchestra, and former venue curator George Lewis.
