Big Freeida

We should thank Big Freedia for bringing the very spirited New Orleans style of hip-hop — bounce music — to the masses. Every Big Freedia show is an energized, raucous party with a lot of twerking. In fact, you probably won’t catch one of his shows without audience members twerking onstage to his playful rhythms. And even better than that, in 2013, Freedia set a world record for twerking by inviting 358 dancers to twerk for two straight minutes in Herald Square. And the whole thing was recorded on his reality show, Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce.
