(Zana Briski and Ross Kaufman, 2003).
American photographer Briski went to India to shoot a doc in the red light district of Calcutta, and fascinated by the kids of the district, had the idea of giving cameras to these children of prostitutes, and asking them to take photos of the world in which they lived. The kids in this poignant film are heartbreaking. Several of them proved gifted—one wins a trip to Amsterdam for an exhibition of photos by children.
