We already know that some of the most edgy filmmaking is coming out of Mexico, but can that also be said about animation? Find out for yourself at the CutOut Fest, a touring festival based in Queretaro, Mexico, that shows us the latest in animated works from around the world with a focus on films produced in Mexico and Latin America. The repertoire of films includes The Panic Broadcast, an animated adaptation of the Orson Welles 1938 “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast, and The Lighthouse, a film about the similarities between parenting and a lighthouse.
