On Sunday, NYC FC, New York’s newest professional sports team, played its first home game at Yankee Stadium, the MLS club’s home ’til they find a place to build a stadium. On a rectangular soccer pitch crammed into the diamond-shaped field, the team led by David Villa (who notched a goal and an assist) defeated the New England Revolution 2-0.
