How do you siphon the laffs from a surefire gut-busting premise like city slickers stuck in the sticks, pursued by inbred yokels and randy wildlife and flummoxed by their own pampered ineptitude? If you’re Adam Sandler’s pal Steven Brill, you assemble a cut-rate Three Stooges (Matthew Lillard, Dax Shepard, and Seth Green), inject tired ’80s nostalgia and some moralistic goo about carpe-ing the diem, and try to pass off New Zealand as Oregon (the palm trees are a dead giveaway, kids).
