Holi Hai, also known as the Festival of Colors, celebrates the coming of spring, the joy of friendship, and equality for all. Held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Yard @ C-PAC (Cultural Performing Arts Center, 1020 E 48th Street) in Brooklyn, thousands of participants joined in “to throw vibrantly colored powder at your friends and strangers, and dance together as one huge colorful mass of beautiful people.” The powders used in Holi represent happiness, love, and the freedom to live vibrantly.
