How to Dress Well

Chicago’s Tom Krell wants you to Feel™, and that’s okay. The Chicago-based bedroom r&b singer released his third LP, What Is This Heart?, earlier this summer, and it continues to expand on his obsession with emotion in our culture and what it does to us. That may seem overwrought and a bit too sophomore year of college for you, but Krell’s skills as a musician present a layered and progressive product. His shows are quiet, and his demeanor is reserved, but by the end you’ll leave exhausted, having been put through an emotional rollercoaster that you will somehow want to keep riding.
