The fun of them as a couple (which they were for five zany years) was that they were both good looking people who weren’t afraid to mutate their comely features in disturbing ways for rubber-faced comedy that was often inspired.

But can two manic comics–one a genius, one a vixen–really meld?

Don’t the dueling mood swings, shtick shifts, and plays for attention tend to negate each other, leaving no hands clapping?
