Fresh off playing Sarah Palin, Julianne Moore has been offered the role of another crazed fanatic–Margaret White, the title character’s bible-thumping mom in Carrie, the Kimberly Peirce-directed redo of the 1976 classic based on the Stephen King book.
That’s the one about the outcast who learns “it gets better” when telekinesis trumps pig’s blood on prom night.
Julianne seems like a great choice–and for the title role, Chloe Moretz has been signed, which also makes perfect sense.
She’s the slightly surreal and very talented girl from Let Me In (the remake of another outcast drama, Let the Right One In) and Hugo.
But here’s the best news of all: No songs!
