If you’re not interested in checking out Zach Braff’s new drama at the Tribeca Film Festival or the slew of independent movies, but you’re still hungry to be part of the fun and interactive festivities without all the Hollywood hoopla, then the Tribeca Film Fest Drive-In is your best bet. Tonight’s screening of the 1984 classic Muppets Take Manhattan, directed by Frank Oz, features retro New York City streets and a younger Joan Rivers, Elliott Gould, Liza Minnelli, and Gregory Hines. Arrive early for the pre-show fun that includes face-painting, Muppet-themed trivia, sing-alongs, and surprise guests—we’re thinking either Kermit or someone from the gang should be making a red-carpet appearance.
