Nellie McKay’s ‘Silent Spring’

The black-and-white publicity photo of this canny young provocateur posing as pioneering environmentalist Rachel Carson is almost reason enough to check out her tribute show, “Silent Spring: It’s Not Nice to Fool Mother Nature,” at this cabaret castle. And knowing she’ll be singing music by Dave Frishberg, Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Neil Young, and Charles Mingus should suffice to close the deal.
