Memorial Day is a day of remembrance and gratitude for those who have sacrificed their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It’s a day to honor our fallen heroes and show appreciation for their bravery and sacrifice. While most of us know the significance of this day, there are some interesting facts about Memorial Day that you may not be aware of. Did you know that Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day? Or that it wasn’t recognized as a federal holiday until 1971?
