The label “French house” could give you the wrong idea about Pepe Bradock, seeing as he has more in common with Detroit’s Theo Parrish than compatriots Daft Punk. Bradock draws on his hip-hop and jazz-funk past to create music that’s deep, organic, and perpetually surprising. Furthermore, the reclusive remixer’s U.S. appearances are about as rare as his infrequent releases on his Atavisme label, so his DJ set at this Brooklyn loft is a real coup. With residents Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter.
