Rise Against’s career marks the change in emo when it went from hardcore to mall punk trappings along with bigger audiences—but hey, the Rise guys are still vegans so they haven’t totally sold out. As for Rancid: In a saner world, they’d be headliners instead of a supporting act, especially with their back-to-basics new album.
