VOICE CHOICES ARCHIVES

SAY YES

by

Here’s one performance we’re sure you can’t say no to: Beloved downtown choreographer Sally Silvers returns to P.S.122 with Yessified, her first new group dance since her witty 2005 Puppy Skills (which featured dancers moving to the sounds of yapping dogs). This time, Silvers explores racial divisions and notions of blackness and whiteness through a lively, hyperactive dance, with provocative text by Bruce Andrews. Expect to see a quirky, highly entertaining performance for 10 dancers, with bodies wildly swerving and colliding to a range of music from thumping electronica to soul.

Sundays, 6:30 p.m.; Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: March 22. Continues through March 29, 2009
