ART ARCHIVES

SO RADIANT

by

If you only know Keith Haring for his paintings of crawling babies, dogs, and flying saucers, you’re in for a treat at the Brooklyn Museum, which is opening the first large-scale exhibit of the late artist’s early works titled Keith Haring: 1978–1982. Besides 155 of his works on paper, the show includes his experimental videos and more than 150 archival objects such as rarely seen sketchbooks, journals, flyers, posters, subway drawings, and documentary photographs. For even more Haring, head to the Center (208 West 13th Street, 212-620-7310), which has re-opened to the public Haring’s famous 1989 bathroom mural until March 31.
