Tibet House’s annual benefit concert at Carnegie Hall can be depended upon as an opportunity to catch performances by the arty New York crew that revolves around Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, and Philip Glass, the last of whom curates the event. But intriguing outliers usually find a way in, too, and this year’s show is no exception: In addition to the aforementioned veterans (as well as their pal Antony), the bill includes beatbox whiz Rahzel, post-dubstep balladeer James Blake, indie-rap jokesters Das Racist, and Stephin Merritt of the Magnetic Fields. All-hands jams tend to end Tibet House gigs, but it’s anyone’s guess what common ground these folks will find. Maybe “Moves Like Jagger”?
