The Man Who Loved Yngve

All coming-out movies have a good deal in common, but geographically at least, this one marks out new territory. Kristiansen’s well-acted film about a teen who loses his footing when he finds himself drawn to the new boy in class is set in a provincial Norwegian city and alternates between comedy and drama with ease. And if you’ve ever wondered what a Norwegian punk group sounds like, this one’s for you.
