Since rolling out of the lot in 2007, Kim Ima’s Treats Truck has become a familiar and cheerful sight to sugar-starved members of the populace from midtown to Grand Army Plaza. Come next year, the truck’s raspberry brownies and sugar dots will have a less ambulatory home: Ima tells The Feed that she’s opening a storefront on Court Street.

The shop, called the Treats Truck Stop: Home of the Treats Truck, will be located at 521 Court Street, which sits near the Red Hook-Carroll Gardens border. Designed by Ole Sondreson, whose previous work includes the Farm on Adderley, it will also contain the Treats Truck’s baking facilities, as well as a back garden that Ima plans to use as an events space.

Ima’s also planning to expand her repertoire to include breakfast items, cakes, and ice cream-based desserts. And unlike the Dessert Truck, which opened its own Clinton Street storefront, the Treats Truck won’t be leaving the road any time soon: From the sounds of it, there may be another on the way.
