Chef Hung’s Pop Up Series: Travels of Marco Polo, Petaluma, 1356 First Avenue, Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.

Swimming pools aren’t the only place you’ll find traces of Marco Polo this spring. Top Chef winner Hung Huynh’s pop-up dinner this week focuses on ingredients inspired by the famed explorer’s journey from Italy to the Far East; the five-course menu includes black sea bass crudo and clay pot lamb pappardelle with Sichuan chili. Reservations are $65 per person and do not include drinks.

New Happy Hour, Talde, 369 Seventh Avenue, Brooklyn, Thursday, 5 p.m.

From 5 to 7 p.m., Talde guests can unwind with half-priced seasonal margaritas, glasses of rosé, and beer at all of Dale Talde’s restaurants: Thistle Hill Tavern, Pork Slope, Carrino Provisions, and TALDE Jersey City. The offer includes Carrino Provisions’ prosecco.

Madison Square Eats, Madison Square Park, Fifth Avenue at 23rd Street, Friday, 11 a.m.

Spend Friday lunch away from your desk by checking out this annual weeks-long pop-up market. New to this year’s lineup of nearly 30 food favorites are sushi hand rolls from Chris Jaeckle’s Uma Temakeria and Potpuri, which specializes in the Indian snack favorite chaat. Roberta’s and Momofuku Milk Bar are a couple of the returning favorites.
