TIME WARP

Warp Records, the famous British indie record label, whose roster includes Aphex Twin and Grizzly Bear, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with parties around the world. And this weekend, the fun comes to New York with a concert (Battles, !!!, and Flying Lotus tomorrow at Terminal 5) and, starting tonight, a four-day free film festival at the New Museum. Warp Films, which launched in 2001, has been widely acclaimed. Today’s screenings include Warp Vision: The Videos 1989–2004 (featuring the director’s cuts for Aphex Twin videos “Come to Daddy” and “Windowlicker”) and All Tomorrow’s Parties, the DIY documentary on the indie-music festival of the same name. Highlights from later in the week include Guillermo Del Toro’s never-before-released Dona Lupe and Guy Maddin’s “docu-fantasia” My Dad Is 100 Years Old, with Isabella Rossellini.
