Tru Kait is an adult content creator who recently opened up about her experience at sex parties and why she is more hesitant about them now.
Tru Kait, whose real name is Kaitlin Trujillo, left behind a career in marketing and sales (and a side hustle as a personal trainer on the weekends) to pursue her OnlyFans career back in 2019.
She first started with a faceless account, sharing nude photos here and there. But over time she began filming full sex scenes and her popularity began to grow as well. That’s when she began getting invited to sex parties.
Trujillo described her decision to say yes to the invitation in a recent interview.
“I was just more open to new experiences and I thought why not. Worst case, I could just leave early. But I actually ended up having a really good time at my first party. And I realize that it’s not what people usually think it is.”
According to Trujillo, most people assume these are the kinds of parties in the 1999 movie Eyes Wide Shut. But she insists it’s a much more relaxing experience, with people just sitting and talking as they get to know each other.
“I love that you can just show up as yourself. You can be totally honest about what you’re into, and there’s no judgment. I think that everyone is kind of on the same page,” she explained.
“We’re all there to explore and connect, and most importantly feel safe while doing it. And I also love how open the conversations are. People talk about their boundaries and they express their desires in such a clear way, which I feel doesn’t happen enough in everyday life.”
At the parties she has been to, there has always been a consent check-in before anything sexual happens, including a thorough discussion of what you’re comfortable with and willing to participate in — and if someone is drunk, they are not allowed to participate because everyone must be able to legally consent.
Trujillo says that everyone’s boundaries are different, and hers even varies by party and who she brings with her. She claims to have had overall positive experiences at these parties, but admits that she has had some moments that have concerned her.
“I’ve been to parties where the vibe just feels off. Like maybe there’s too many new people or people aren’t really respecting other people’s space,” she said.
“So for me, I’m not afraid to leave or just sit something out like if I don’t feel good about it. I feel like you have to be able to check in with yourself and know when something’s not for you.”
And while she’s had good luck with these parties, she admits that they aren’t always safe. It’s becoming more common for sex workers to be invited to large sex parties and being abused or injured. While Trujillo hasn’t experienced these parties, she does fear them.
“From what I read… I think that they’re dangerous and pretty dehumanizing to women. The parties that I’ve been to are more about mutual respect, clear boundaries, and consensual exploration. I wouldn’t really compare the two. I think they’re worlds apart.”
That’s why she encourages anyone who wants to attend sex parties to do their research and ensure that it’s a safe environment.
